I remember it means "grassy spot by the roadside", as in somewhere to relax and hang out with friends. It's new, bright wood with comfy boothes with pillows on the seats. And a sake machine! The gyoza was soft and gushy (I like them crisper), and the new waitress confused our order several times and had to get it all sorted out. The soup was good, though, and the cuts of sushi were quite nice. The beef teriyaki was served in little round rolls around leeks - an A+ for presentation style!

On the down side, they gave little microwave-warmed towelettes that were nasty. Why skimp on something like that? And sometimes a waitress was hard to track down. All in all a reasonable experience, although I'd personally go across the street to Shogun 9 and ask for a back table!
