After driving thru Connecticut for an hour looking for a place to dine, my husband decided to stop and pull me along. I was casually dressed but they said to "Come on in"! They were so nice and the place was just lovely. We ordered our appetizer of Crab & Avacado. My crab was mmmm so sweet and perfectly balanced by the avacado. My husbands mushrooms were very tasty but somewhat uninteresting in color. For Salad course a sweet and tangy dressing, I couldn't put my finger on the spices... curry? Delicious. Don ordered the the Halibut with a Provencal butter and loved it. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel with assorted mushrooms accompanied by an austrian pasta -spatzle and tangy red cabbage it was to die for. Very tender and plentiful. I barely had room for dessert.... The waiter came over and explained each one! I just felt so confused I made my husband order the Lemon cheesecake made with farmers cheese and lemon zest and I had the Black Forrest cake. It was rich and creamy. The coffee was served in a gold mug and called "Viennese Coffee" because it was served with real whipped cream and sprinkled with chocolate shavings. Our waiter "Ron" was a delight after we got joking with him. I will return when back in Massachusetts.
